I've added another link, this time dealing with asbestos risks pertaining to veterans. The site is a valuable resource and we are proud to link to it.
New veteran resource

I've added a new resource for veterans on our 'Links' page. The new page 'armedforcesbenefits.org' contains various links and information that is useful for veterans of all ages, all contained in one convenient location. It's a fantastic resource, so take a look!

Operation Christmas Cheer
Posted on 11-21-2005 7:30 PM
On December 18, 2005, the VFW 5th District will host the 35th Annual Christmas Party for all patients and residents of the North Chicago VA Hospital. We anticipate visiting about 500 patients, with a large gift box for all hospitalized. Last year we had 15 JROTC cadets from Waukegan High School helping with. We also has Paul McCartney and Stan & Laurel impersonators walking the wards with the well-wishers. If you would like to accompany the carolers and Santa's Helpers, contact the Post Commander for details.
